Pazardjik district is situated in the central part of Southern Bulgaria over an area of 4458.0 km2 constituting 4% of the country’s total territory. According to the number of its population, 313059 people, Pazardjik district ranks 8 among the other distircts. The district’s center Pazardjik is within 100 km from the capital Sofia and 37 km within from the second largest Bulgarian city Plovdiv.
The wealth of human and natural resources along with the district’s strategic geographical situation are prerequisites for investment opportunities in the filed of tourism, agriculture, specific industrial sectors and modern infrastructure projects.
