THE NEWS: FIT to meet the EU !

It is not accidentally that the most eminent Bulgarian travel writer Aleko Konstantinov is more widely known with his pseudonym ”The Happy man”. This fact is an eloquent symbol of the primordial Bulgarian passion for travelling. For all generations in Bulgaria travelling is not just a meaning of getting to an aim but the aim itself. It is an inseparable part of our nation’s psychology to feel infinitely happy when touching foreign horizons. On 01.01.2007 Bulgaria becomes a member of the EU family. For us this is celebration of the fact that we, Bulgarians, have been for a long time now a modern nation which is not only cordially hospitable but also enthusiastically passionate to be a guest of the world in its turn.

The good news is that along with the travelling passion Bulgarians have already had the real finance to do it. Investment climate here gets better and business field has its strong growth too. The number of high-income citizens also increases. The combination of all that factors make any kind of personal or business trips more and more possible.

The whole market situation have stimulated the birth of the idea for an international tourism forum in Bulgaria that is supposed to give a real chance to Bulgarians and the world to meet each other more closely, to exchange business cards and to be visiting each other in the near future.

Forum International Tourism-Sofia (FIT-Bulgaria – 18-20 May 2007) has been planned and established as an annual 3-day meeting for exchange of ideas, contacts and offers within the global frame of tourism industry. The target of this event includes all national tourism organization as well as private tourism companies from all over the world interested in meeting potential clients and partners, exchanging experience and updating knowledge having a look at the latest trends in travel industry. Representatives of Bulgarian national tourism organizations and private tourism companies will also be a part of FIT-Sofia.
